Ink Link: The All-in-One Platform Built by a Tattoo Artist and a Client

What Ink Link Actually Does (And Why We Built It)

Managing a tattoo career shouldn't be harder than actually tattooing. But between juggling DMs across five platforms, keeping track of appointments on paper calendars, chasing down deposits, and trying to showcase your portfolio somewhere other than an Instagram grid... it gets old.

We built Ink Link because we were tired of it too. Not as some tech company guessing what artists need, but as people who've dealt with double-booked appointments, no-shows who "forgot" to send the deposit, and the headache of coordinating guest spots through endless DM chains.

Here's what the platform does:

Guest Bookings

If you've traveled for guest spots, you know the deal: new clients don't know you, the shop's regulars aren't sure about the "new person," and everything gets coordinated through the studio's Instagram DMs.

With Ink Link, when you're guesting at a studio, you get your own booking flow connected to that studio's profile. Clients find you through the studio's page, see your work, and book directly with you. The studio still has visibility and control, but nobody's playing telephone with the shop manager.

For studios, you can feature guest artists on your profile, manage their availability alongside your residents, and give clients a clean experience whether they're booking with your permanent team or someone passing through.

Clients who book you during a guest spot become part of your client base. When they want to book again - whether you're back at that studio or somewhere else - they can find you through your profile.

Portfolios and Flash

You can upload up to 500 images on the Pro plan (100 on free) across your portfolio and flash galleries. Organize by style, show your range, and make it easy for people to see what you do. Everything's designed for mobile since that's where most people are looking.

The flash gallery lets you upload available designs and mark them as available or claimed. Clients can browse and request to book pieces directly. No more posting flash to stories that disappear, no more answering "is this still available?" repeatedly.

Booking

The booking process is customizable but not complicated. Clients describe what they want, upload references, specify size and placement, and give you what you need to quote accurately - before you've exchanged a single message.

For piercings, there are 50+ piercing types with jewelry preferences and medical screening built in.

Clients can book even without an Ink Link account. They request an appointment, get approved, and show up. If they create an account later (takes about 30 seconds), their booking history and appointments are all there.

Messaging

Conversations stay organized by booking. The initial request, design discussions, appointment changes, payment requests - it's all in one thread instead of buried in your Instagram DMs between memes and spam.

You can send payment requests directly through messaging. Need a deposit? Enter the amount, send it. The client gets a secure payment link, you get confirmation when it's paid.

Studio Management

For studio owners and managers, you can set up your profile with location, hours, policies, and team. Add residents and guests with different permission levels. Manage calendars from one dashboard. Clients browse your team, compare portfolios, and book with whoever fits - without you manually coordinating.

Studio Pro ($70/month) adds team management, custom booking forms, and studio calendar integration.

Calendar Sync

Artist Pro ($14/month) and Studio Pro include Google Calendar integration. Ink Link reads your existing Google Calendar to show availability and writes your Ink Link appointments to a dedicated calendar.

Useful if you work multiple locations or have commitments outside the studio. Your Google Calendar events show in Ink Link for scheduling, and your Ink Link bookings appear in Google Calendar with client name, service type, and payment status.

Pricing

Free tier gets you a profile, portfolio (100 images), booking, and messaging. Artist Pro is $14/month for 500 images, calendar sync, and CRM tools. Studio Pro is $70/month for team management and studio-specific features.

Start free, upgrade when the features make sense for you.

Ink Link is free to join for artists and clients. Artist Pro ($14/month) and Studio Pro ($70/month) plans unlock advanced features like calendar integration, CRM tools, and custom branding.
